Our History…
Longstreet Consulting was formed in April 2020 by Bruce Clark, who has specialised in this niche market since 2003
Bruce was formerly a partner in Lawson & Partners, a firm of Chartered Surveyors, where he developed a specialist student accommodation and alternative investment advisory business over a period of 15 years. It was following the strategic reorganisation of Lawson & Partners that Bruce moved this specialist consultancy work across to Longstreet Consulting.
We are also unique in having had the experience of setting up and running an independent specialist PBSA management company, Universal Student Living, which was co-founded by Bruce in 2012. Gaining valuable insight and experience into the operational costs and strategies of PBSA in the UK has further complemented our specialist knowledge base. Sold in July 2021, Universal Student Living is now owned by Homes For Students, who we continue to work closely with, alongside other key operators in the market.
What we do…
Longstreet Consulting’s core background is in the UK Purpose Built Student Accommodation (PBSA) sector, where Bruce has specialised since 2003, whilst also being active in the alternative residential capital market sectors as well.
Our core focus is advising on investment and development funding transactions, as well as providing strategic/occupational consultancy in the UK PBSA market. Since 2010 we have been particularly active in providing specialist forward funding transactional advice working with both developers and investors.
As well as working within the PBSA market, we are also expanding into the alternative residential markets, particularly affordable housing and build-to-rent.
